Our Team

Suzy has been my therapeutic massage provider for several years.  I feel she is an excellent therapist.  I find her very professional, friendly and helpful.  In my opinion, she goes above and beyond and that is why I continue to travel two and a half hours for her massages every four weeks.  I have tried several others but none have compared...

Registered Massage Therapist and Registered Yoga Teacher

Suzy Alcantara received her Massage Therapy Diploma in 2007 and is a proud member of the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada. Coming from a family of nurses and other health practitioners, Suzy has always had a passion for how the body functions and its ability to be resilient through whatever stress or injury it encounters.

From receiving her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Sciences in 2004 and blending her knowledge as a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT), she has developed her practice with the understanding that the human body is a beautiful, and complex interconnected web which has the ability to adjust to changes in a person’s life. Since receiving her RMT diploma, she has studied different forms of Energy Work and has taken an interest in Traditional Chinese Medicine, especially Cupping, Shiatsu and Facial Diagnosis.  Suzy’s education is quite unique and it has given her the knowledge to provide her clients  with a fully balanced treatment. The aim for her treatment has always been to treat the body as a whole and achieve a full body massage. The fluidity of the techniques she has acquired and developed over the years promotes relaxation and provides a deep, therapeutic massage.

Suzy has been practising yoga since 1997, and in 2011 she received her Yoga teacher training certificate. She is currently a Registered Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance. Having the experience of teaching first year massage therapy students from 2016-2017, Suzy continues to support the development of future massage therapists by supervising students who choose to complete their practicum at Reveal. One of Suzy's passions is to share what she loves to do with others, help them grow as practitioners and create longevity in their careers in the wellness industry.

Suzy strives to learn more techniques that embody Traditional Chinese Medicine and Holistic Healthcare. It is her goal to continue to learn and grow, in order to provide the best treatment for the mind, body and spirit. In Suzy's practice, education is essential. Suzy and the team at Reveal Wellness Studio will acknowledge what each client brings to the massage table, and will use their knowledge and skills to provide options for healthier living.

With her experience, Suzy is able to help you in your journey to promote wellness and balance in your life. Suzy is very proud to launch Reveal Wellness Studio and to bring her practice to the amazing community in Old Strathcona.

Ashley Valliere

Registered Massage Therapist, CSEP-PT

Ashley graduated with a diploma from MH Vicars School of Massage in 2017 and is a member of the Natural Health Practitioners of Canada. She is also in good standing with the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology as a Certified Personal Trainer since 2009. Ashley’s years of personal training clients paired with her massage training lends her to have a unique and in depth understanding of how the body works both static and in movement.  Ashley’s mission since starting her personal training business was to continually be learning so she could always be passing on fresh information to clients. This mission has not changed since starting massage. She has taken courses in neurokinetic therapy, cupping/advanced cupping, gua sha, Reiki, corrective exercise and is always self-teaching whatever peaks her interest (Anatomy Trains, Traditional Chinese Medicine and other energy works).

Her ultimate goal with each client is to help heal chronic (and acute) muscular and joint disease that have been established through years of improper movement patters and re-wire the brain to create healthy and sound patterns. Combining massage treatments with specific exercise homework ensures the clients rapid and long-lasting success.

Vanessa Groshong

Registered Acupuncturist, BA, Subconscious Imprinting Technique

Vanessa, also known as The Urban Witch, started her journey into acupuncture with a severe case of tennis elbow. Where all other treatment failed, acupuncture was the one modality that made all the difference in her recovery. Fascinated by how hair-thin needles could make such an impact on pain management and mobility, Vanessa jumped into the Acupuncture program at Grant MacEwan University. She graduated in 2013 and is currently a proud member of the College and Association of Acupuncturists of Alberta.

Vanessa’s goal is to help bring you to the best form of yourself that is possible. That can appear as releasing trauma, reducing pain, removing blocks that are holding you back from a booming business or loving relationships, or overcoming chronic illness that has had no other relief. She is proud to say she operates only one room at a time in order to focus solely on your healing and dedicates as many modalities as she can within your session.

The services I received from Ashley V. at Reveal Wellness Studio were amazing. It was a very positive experience. From the location and parking to the atmosphere, the minute I got there it was relaxing and welcoming. Ashley was extremely friendly yet very professional. She was very aware and concerned with my well-being and I felt much better after my massage. The injuries I needed help with were treated with care and felt so much better.

I will recommend Ashley at Reveal wholeheartedly! And I will for sure be a regular client!

If I could give Vanessa 10 stars, I would. She is very informative about the body and seems to know how to fix any problem my body may have. Being a dancer I am constantly experiencing hip and lower back pain that has extremely declined since my treatments with Vanessa. She is a caring person, and it is very evident that she loves her profession along with helping people.
